Picked up my Tactical Creed today and WOW am I impressed. The more I shoot it the more I like it!

One thing. Didn’t notice while shooting indoors but when shooting outside I hear a twang sound on the shot. I took everything off and it still did it so I’m not sure where it would be coming from. Sounds like it’s coming from the top of the bow. Anyone else have a similar experience? If so, what was the issue?

Mine is quiet. Friends who have shot it are immediately impressed with how shock free and quiet it really is. Something is wrong if you are hearing something – – – – have your dealer check it out.

Went over the bow thuroughly. Everything was on spec and tight. We shot outside and he and another guy said they did notice a slight noise. We then compared to the Demo Creed and they sounded the same. Then compared to a Hoyt carbon element and the Hoyt was even a bit louder than the creed. Came home and again compared to my Z7. The Z7 is simply quieter.
I’m wondering if the Creed and these other new bows that are lighter are simply louder than their predecesors that were slightly heavier and included string suppressors.
    Any thoughts????

I have noticed a very faint twang out of my Helim, I simply think its a factor with the light weight of these newer bows… Shouldn’t be an issue though! :thumbup

The Creed’s I shot were super quiet. They were as quiet as my ZXT or even more quiet. Something don’t sound right.

It’s a wierd thing. If I shoot inside my Creed seems quieter. If I shoot outside the Z7 is definately quieter.

Does that make sense? I’m thinking on having my pro shop send it back to Mathews to check it over.

got my limbs and pockets put on today and got to checking the bow to find the noise and it turned out to be the rest i am shooting with a limb driver and when the arm came down it was hitting the stop and there was just not enough padding there to keep it quiet. Still don’t know why it couldn’t be heard inside even at the proshop we had to go out side so the bow techs could hear what i was talking about.

I’m having the same problem. I noticed that I had to tighten the draw stop. Once, I tighten the draw stop the sound goes away.
