just had the string on my creed come off when i released an arrow sounded very bad lost part of the outer pice of the were the split string hooks up wheel is bent to one side now going to dealer tomorrow want my old bow back also have had trouble with arrows not grouping well
Im sorry to hear that. Did you by chance have your limbs backed out when this happened? I made that mistake once with my first z7e and with a slight torque, ( was trying to look at my bow cam lean while at full draw) the string came off in a violent POW! Fortunately, I didn’t have any be damage, but my peep sight flew off lick a bullet. I still don’t know where it went.
I took my Creed back to the shop where I purchased it to have them look at it, but I called them yesterday to ask about it. When I got there today they told me they have a new set of limbs on the way for me. But, I was really hoping they would just say its in the camo finish. The cracks look Like stretch marks to me. The pro at the shop thought the same thing as me,they don’t seem to go any deeper than the camo film finish?
Mathews Tech: please advise if you have any better info on this issue. I would sure like to know before my limbs get replaced and I’m having to re-tune my bow from scratch again.
Keep me updated with what goes on. Like I told you before I had my yellow marks checked out at 2 different shops and they both weren’t worried about it. You can’t feel them at all and I even did the q tip trick and it never got caught. My cousin even mistakenly dry fired it on accident and the limbs were fine. Which leads me to believe we will be okay.
Will do. After re-reading your post about your dealer finding more yellow lines on your bow, I gave mine a pretty thorough look this evening and I did find a few places on the riser with yellow cracks. Like the limbs, they seem to be concentrated in places where high stress is taking place structurally. I had a camo z7e last season that I chipped the camo finish on and that stuff was surprisingly rigid and thick, so maybe it just can’t flex with the bow very well.? It would be good if that’s all it is, but kinda sucks to have a new bow with finish problems. Especially after paying so much.
