Man, life is a roller coaster. thank God none of these issues are mine!!!
monday, my brother called and describe heart attack symptoms. i had to talk the stubborn guy to visit the doc. EKG showed signs of blockage..rushed him in for a angiopl..argh..balloon thing. ran a camera into his heart only to find his heart is super clean and athletic. he may have had a heart “charlie horse”. doc gave him clean bill of health. my brother is in the best shape ever. he is my elk meat mule. so happy about this,,it was scary.
then. friend calls with news that he now has non hodgkins lymphoma. he is super young..also super athletic. crazy news. he just wants to be alone with his wife.
my good friends-married couple; he just called me and told me they are calling it quits. spent the night talking to both of them, without letting them know i was talking to both of them. never said a thing, just listened. it sucks. i thought they were tight.
my wife just gave me a hall pass. i get out of a dinner with people coming over. i am gonna load up my gear, half day of work, drive down to SoCal..meet some friends saturday morning to catch the LAST deer archery weekend. he said they are rutting bad!! i’ll sleep in the back of my truck friday night and wait for them to show up sat morning…pack in, sleep under a tree. i need to decompress. i am shooting at the first legal deer that walks by.
with so much bad news..hope a deer trips and knocks himself senseless standing by me and my truck at 12 yards..:D
It been one of those weeks for me too, business related though and it’s not going away any time soon.
Anyway hope your hunt does you some good, hey it’s better than concentrating on everyone else’s problems. Concentrate on the hunt and arrowing that deer has to be a vacation from all that. Good luck.
Seems like there’s a lot of that going round this week. Personally, I’m fine (knock on wood) but everyone else is having trouble. The wife has issues at work with crazy customers and meeting deadlines (some of it comes home but I’m not complaining – she listened to me for years when I was working).
Deaths, MS, sever broken feet, cancer etc. Makes me realize how lucky I am at the moment – God willing, I’ll remain that way for a good time.
Feel better Vash Same to you Bow Drawn – going out to see if I can figure out why the Heli is shooting to the left beyond 20 yards. May not make the deer opener but I’d like to be ready.
