    Can’t believe how the coyote have regularly been feeding on Record Rack corn!!

    Interesting, but I would bet that they are sniffing out for the mice, rabbits, deer and tree rats…

    I don’t know about that. There heads a buried in the hole at the bottom of the feeder. I just posted a few photos I have many. The corn is covered with some very tasty smelling molasses and who knows what else.

    Interesting, but I would bet that they are sniffing out for the mice, rabbits, deer and tree rats…

    Never underestimate a coyote, they will eat anything! But then again, I have seen a dog eat corn before so a coyote eating corn is not much of a stretch from where I’m sitting :)

    The other thing that’s interesting is that the deer are coming in better than any other year within an hour or so of when the coyotes come and go. The one thing the dogs are keeping away is the racoons but everything else has been coming and going for months.

    You never know… It’s interesting that the coyote smell isn’t affecting the deer. You would think that they would be alarmed by the smell.

    I agree I always check the time and many times they are there within a couple of hours of each other.

    We had them coming up to the house one summer and stealing the cantaloupe out of the garden in the middle of the day. They wouldn’t touch the watermelon though :^O

    I had the same thing happen they came to the back deck grabbed the cantaloupe and left the steak. When they are on cantaloupe they won’t touch meat! :whistle :^O
