Hi all , i am in a lost , usually i need reading glass ( +1.5) but need to remove them to look far away.
Which means that i need a verifier to clearly see my sight pin . Now i tried a 4x scope on my HHA sight but now my target is very blurry.
So either i remove the verifier then the pin is very blurry but the target is clear and look closer or i install the verifier then the pin is clear but the target is blurry…… Is there a way to have both clear at the same time ?

    :?: :?:

    Thanks all

:D Gaston…. It is impossible for the eye to focus up close and at a distance at the same time…so with a verifier looking thru a scope it would be the same only magnified…

with 20/20 vision a shooter will “pick a spot” on the target and focus on that…the pins are brought up but will not be in focus but since they are closer to the eye the pins are still visable on target..

In fact try not to look at pins at all and only focus on target…use what ever combination [Verifier for example] to bring both the clearest for you…

That was my comprehension also but i was wondering if there was kind of a magic trick that could be used. I will do some shooting tonight and ”see” what is best for me …

    Thanks a lot

if you are using a scope that is 4x,you need to try a #1 or #2 clarifier, not a varifier. varifiers are used to sharpen pin vision without a lens.clarifiers will sharpen the target when using a lens. there is always a compromise as neil said. the compromise will be that the target will be very sharp and magnified but,the pin may get a bit fuzzy depending on lighting situation. using a light on your sight pin will give the best results.

Okay, after some testing it appears that the best results so far are to remove the verifier and reduce the size of the insert in my peep. It appears that reducing the peep reduce the blurry effect of the pin . Then , as Neil said , i only have to ” forget” the pin and shoot………. And it works :-)

Anyway this setup is only for some competitions . During hunting i will strip off the insert of the peep and the lens.

Now as this HHA was my hunting sight, that means that i will need another one for my hunting rig. With christmas coming i might find one under the tree …….. FROM: me TO: me. ;) ;)

Thanks all for your help and have a nice Christmas time .
