OK.. I am getting rid of my Axis Obsessions. Mainly cuz I’m ready for a change..

I’m shooting a Mathews Outback with 28 inch draw and I shoot 28 inch arrows. I am drawing 65#. I shoot a QAD Ultra Rest LD and I use a string loop and mechanical release. I have been using Blazer vanes and a Blazer wrap. 100 grain tip.

I have have shot two of the four that I really like.

First I have shot the Easton FMJ 400’s.. These came out to be 434 grains and shot 244 fps wtih 57.39 ft. pds of KE.

Second I have shot the Easton ACC 349’s. These were 398 grains at 254 fps with 57.02 ft. pds of KE.

I have also thought about Gold Tip. Have considered the Pro’s but they seem to be too light for my taste.
One that I like that I have not tried is the Gold Tip CAA’s..

I am looking for an arrow to use primarily for deer hunting but will be using these for a Black Bear Hunt in Sept. I’m shooting the 100gr. Strikers also..

Just looking for opinions I guess.. Also curious if anyone else has a similar setup and what it shoots for FPS.. I have just replaced the string, idler, all pins etc. on this one and it just seems like it should be a bit faster. OF course it’s always been on the slow side.

I do like the FMJ’s but the ACC’s would shoot a bit flatter.. And gold tips are just plain good…

I am a fan of PSE’s, I know they are not on your list either. Also Victory has some great looking stuff as well.

Out of your list I would choose Eastons… [=}=]

The best arrows on the market bar none is ACC’s. Spot Hogg did a test and found when the shot all of the top brands ACC’s were the most consistent of all. They are tuff, hard to robinhood and if you want to improve your grouping go with ACC’s.

ACC’s are the best IMO. I picked up some Super Slims last year which are a thinner slightly heavier version of the ACC’s with the HIT inserts. They look like they’ll be a good hunting shaft with excellent penetration possibility but I’m not sure I like the HIT system yet. With the choices you offer I’d go for the ACC’s. :thumbup

See I really like the HIT system, has proven itself to me already over the past two seasons. I also like the smaller diameter arrows.

I really like the sound of the AC Super Slim after taking a look at it. Not sure why I never paid any attn to it before.
I’ll probably buy a couple and see how they do, good recommend.

The AC SS are awesome arrows, you can’t go wrong with them :thumbup

OK, bought an AC super slim and really liked it.. Will probably either go with the AC/SS or the FMJ.. I like the smaller diameter with the HIT and they both hold pretty good weight…

    Thanks for the replies.
