just got done with the black chill limb swap.they used blue shims on these to accent the rest of the blue on the chill.if this is the trend,i can only assume the tactical will have black or grey shims.jmo.

:thumbup :thumbup Thanks for the update.

I just wanted to share that I went to pick up mr Creed today and it does have the red shims installed already. We had no problem tuning the bow and we were able to get a billet hole on the first shot. We shot in several times through paper with the same results each time. I was able to dial the sight in at 20 yards before I left and even had a Robin Hood. I’m very pleased so far and for those wondering what I shot before this… I had a Heli-m.
I have shot many Mathews over the years, and thus far, I really like the Creed. Very smooth, super quiet, very accurate and fast. I think it’s the most stable bow they have made.
Hope this helps some of you that are on the fence. [=}=]

i will post pics when i get back there its an hour away.. Just swung through the shop i used to work at cause finished my building project a little early and was in the area and they asked if i could help switch out the limbs and pockets. its really not a big deal but u can see the upgrade just looking at the limb pockets the red plastic or whatever they used now comes up capturing the limbs better to keep them from moving side to side..Free for those who have creeds already its like warranty work [=}=]

these are the pics of the creed limb swap i did tonite.note that the first pic is the original set, second pic shows old and new side by side, red inserts are the new. third pic is a close up of what to look for. according to paperwork that came with limb, pocket and bolt kit, this will be on all new bows from here on out.kudos to mathews for being on this quickly.

Sorry guys, but kudos to Mathews for being on this? Really? A $1000 bow just released and it needs warranty work within weeks of release? I’m a Mathews fan, but not on this one. I expect better.

it was just the first few that got out that needed to be updated.is it what we want to hear?,no,but they were on it before most have even shot the new bows.nobody likes recalls.if you have bought a new vehicle in the last 10 yrs.,there is a good chance it had a recall or even a few different ones.and i’ll bet they weren’t on it within 3 weeks of release.

:D There are new limb bushings being installed…I would imagine only previous bows that had a rubbing issue on limb pockets would replace limbs…

Wondering if this would work on an MR8. I have this issue with mine. The top limbs appear angled in the pocket and are rubbing on the edges.

Larry I understand where he is coming from partially given it is felt in our own pockets directly. The thing I believe that most forget is that millions in R/D does not guarantee perfection. I could give a 6million dollar project that has almost a billion or more worth of R/D between all of the technologies in it that was not smooth with many manufacturing issues but it would breach my companies NDA. I could give another that was 3.4Mil as well from a few years ago…

So do I expect my little $1k item to be perfect?? Not a fat chance. :^O :^O :^O

I’m just expressing my opinion. Like I said I’m a Mathews fan, but as a mechanical engineer by training and occupation, I’m not expecting any more than I would of myself.

I’m sorry you didn’t like my post, but the beauty of a forum like this is that everyone’s perspective has merit.

I could understand if it cost something, but the fix doesn’t cost anything. So the only “feeling” here is the entitlement to having something perfect because it cost $1000. Which isn’t even the cost of the bow.

I just get tired of listening to the griping. There was a problem and before it was hardly known, there was a fix. What’s the big deal? I mean if you are so disenchanted with Mathews over this, you don’t need a new bow company, you need a therapist…

And this isn’t directed at you Jason… ;)

:^O :^O I know man and I did not even think that but appreciate you saying it. Agreed. I am still curious how many would have actually noticed the issue in the first place? Other than possible paper tuning issue left/right which I do not even do other than for nock height I am sure I would not have since it is a hunting bow and 1″ I accept as human error as I cannot shoot better than any bow I have owned. :thumbup
