Ok folks, I cut and pasted this from another forum. THis was someones respose to my comments of walking on egg being equal to being politically correct. I cannot take credit for the comments but I couldn;t have said it better myself.

Our country is run by poilticians – not by law makers and executives. The system we have now is broken because nearly everyone in our government capitols says what needs to be said to get elected and then operates in office in whatever fashion is necessary to stay elected. Flip-flopping, grandiose pomposity, issue switching, mud slinging, blatant partisanship, spin control and all sorts of mischief happen so that re-election is insured. Getting the right thing done is way down on the agenda.

What happened to “For the People” and “By the People”. We need term limits and short ones, so those we elect, George Washington’s idea of citizen servants, will legislate and execute instead of campaining for re-election. Only then will the hard work of fixing the problems mentioned above be possible. It’s very hard work and too hard for someone who needs to keep the most people happy so that re-election is assured.

That’s my little rant and I always see it as the elephant in the room no one notices when discussing the issues of the day.

I guess Im not as pesimistic as most, I still believe in the American electoral system as frustrating as it may seem sometimes.

I didnt watch the dems debates cause its basically just a fight for whos gonna get to raise taxes the most & have the weakest foriegn policy.

I did watch several R debates and IMHO, the winner in terms of the strongest foriegn policy, recognizing the importance of continuing the Bush tax cuts and restoring some kind of order the S. border, was the guy w/ the best hair :whistle

I kind of do like Obama, he is actually one of the smarter candidates, I just wish some of his views would change. If I had to vote Republican I would flip a coin, because none of them impress me AT ALL! I think though, a Republican will not be in the White House come next year, so we better hope Hilary does not win! [=}=]

Heres how they fought http://youtube.com/watch?v=SxBJaAioXE0 thats their(NRA) production ( note the “clinton blames NRA for loss of dem antigun congress’)

I have been a life member for close to 8 years and Ive never heard of the NRA going along w/ Clinton, but if you have some information I dont know about Id like to see it.
