Ok i took mine back. They put another cam on with same noise just not as bad. It seems like its coming from where the string comes into contact with the cam. Looks to me like the string isnt quite centered in the valley on the cam. Any suggestions? I thought about trying waxing the string at full draw. Thanks

I just cannot believe that there has not been a single response from Mathews on this issue, that I have noticed.  {#emotions_dlg.mathews_shame_on_you}  Please have the jewels to acknowledge the issue and find a resolution, so we Mathews owners can continue being loyal supporters or you may start losing us!! And if you do not care about losing a “few” people then I guess it will show your true colors!!!

Bought my bow 2 wks ago and it’s been making the noise since I got it home.  I’ve tried the serving/teflon tape deal and no better.  I spent 2 hours in my local shop trying to fix it and nothing.  I’ve read all of the suggestions and none of them work.  Mathews said send it bad and they will look at it.  It’s deer season and an $800 bow.  I’m starting to “get serious” if you know what I mean!!!!  Mathews needs to respond on this issue or they will def not get anymore of my business.

Maybe you will have better luck sending yours back than I did when I sent mine. It came back with the repair ticket saying “put on whisker biscuit and shot it, no noise found, returning to customer”. Dealer wouldn’t even tell me what was said, let me read it for myself because he couldn’t believe because he heard it even he shot it when it came back. Guess i will have to live with it this season but will most certainly be getting a different bow for next year. See what Mathews has for 2014.

Can someone that says their creed is quiet plz take a pic and post of where the cam and the string serving meet?  Like an inch or two from the exact meeting point?  The valley in my cam rt there seems deeper than the rest of the cam.  Kinda take the pic from a lil angle where I can see if the serving is level with the cam valley sides.  Thank you

How did you get the new limbs? Since Mathews said there was nothing wrong with mine the dealer said there was nothing they could do.

I was told by customer service at Matthews that I could over-serve the lower end of my string where it made contact with the cam back to the loop to reduce vibration from the string. Anyone know about this technique? I noticed the added bit of material on the new XS and was wondering if this helped reduce vibration and ultimately noise. I have tried every trick I know to make my bow quieter and have been unsuccessful. The more weight I add to the bow via front stabilizer and or rear stabilizer, the louder it gets. It is the quietest with no stabilizer at all. I have B Stingers, Axions and Sims stabilizers.
