What Broadheads are you all shooting? Any good reviews for the swhacker? I saw there are 2 100g models of the swhacker, 1.75″ and 2″ cut. Other that the .25″ cut is there a difference?

None of the above. I shoot fixed blades and after last year I will not use a mech head again. I will leave my opinions as to why and what I saw after shooting 12 deer with mech heads to myself. [=}=]

If you are looking for a mech, you would be VERY hard pressed to find one that will beat a Grim Reaper :thumbup

I’ll tell you right now, the ones you mentioned won’t do it :D ;)

I am living proof that the swhacker works and works great. Ive killed 22-22 animals with that broadhead and they produce blood like no other broadhead ive seen. I was always against mechanicals and when i picked up a swhacker there was no turning back. For those of you guys who want the best of both worlds check out my buddies new broadhead called the grave digger it can be seen on http://www.nolimitarchery.com. I have shot the grave digger out to 100yds and it groups as good as field points. The grave digger also requires no band as the mechanical blades self lock. Here is a pic of a deer that my 100gr swhacker dirt napped.

Not to hijack, but with the design of the locking blades, I believe that they wouldn’t be legal in NY. Not say’n they are, just highly suspect.

    I’m still flinging Rockets.

I’m shooting Rage’s right now, but when I change it will most likely be the Grim Reaper mechanical. Shot a Montec fixed blade last night at a friend’s house and it flew really well out of my bow; hit right where my field points were flying. I was impressed!

Same here brother. Rocket Steelhead 100s. Oh, and the G5 T3s made their way into my quiver last season. Great success with both of these expandables :thumbup :thumbup

i’ve never really liked mechanicals myself. fixed blades just seem a lot more solid – and that’s one of the main things i look for in a broadhead. with all that said, i’ve never shot a mechanical [=}=]
