This will be my first year as a bow hunter and I am curious as to what yall think are the best broadheads to use for whitetails. I bought one of the new Mission X3 bows and love it. I have heard that mechanical broadheads shoot the most like the field tips so you don’t have to adjust your bow like you would for fixed broadheads. however, i have also heard that you don’t get complete pass throughs with a mechanical broadhead when the deer is quartering away. any thoughts…?
Second part… whether you suggest fixed broad heads or mechanical broadheads, which specific broad head is your favorite in that particular category (I have heard good things about the NAP Spitfire and shockwave, but I have no clue who makes a good fixed broadhead).
i don’t know about yall, but we have less than two weeks until bow season down here in texas and i can’t wait…
G-5 Montecs and Magnus Stingers have always been plenty good for me over the past several years… and nothing has shown me a reason to change…
I’ve shot G5 montecs for 4 years now. have broken bones on exits on 2 diffrent bears now. full confidence they will get the job done and agree with Javi statement. Havent found a reason to change to anything else.
when it works it works.
