I have a Creed 70#, 28″ draw with Ktec 7″ stabilizer and Limbdriver Pro V rest. This is the loudest set up I’ve EVER owned, and I get a new bow every year. When I shoot, it sounds a lot like a crossbow going off. The only other bow I’ve ever had that was remotely close to this loud was an old power mag with an overdraw and no string silencers. I’m 99% sure the noise is coming from the rest. I’ve checked all the screws and everything on my bow and accessories. Are these rests just loud?? the setup is super accurate, but just loud. I love everything about the rest except the noise. Is this just something I’ll have to live with, or can it be tamed?
What arrows and arrow total weight are you shooting?
I dont have one myself but I do shoot with two people who have them. And yes, they tell me this rest can be a source of noise. Felt should be applied to the post where the limb (on the rest) comes back to upon release. Some have actually replaced this and used thin rubber. Another option is to slightly raise the arm so that it’s not fully pulled in the down position. You shouldnt have any issues with vane clearance as it’s only up a millimeter or two. But in the end, if its me, and this rest is noisey….it’s gone.
