I am the lease manager on a 1500 ac piece of property and the question has been poised about going only bowhunting. The price per person is $1500 and there are deer, pigs, turkey, as well as coyotes and bobcats. If you had the chance to hunt bow only, would you do it?

I would prefer to have the option of shotgun for turkeys, but I only bow hunt for deer either way.

I dont enjoy not having the option. youd hate to get a shoulder injury or want to carry a friend or loved one and them not be able to go because they dont bow hunt. If i was going to pay 1500 dollars Id want the option. I prefer leases where your free to do what you want just like everyone else is. [=}=]

I’d hunt everything with a bow, but occasionally shoot a predator with a rifle.

I hunt with what ever is legal at the time. I do have one piece of property I’m trying to get that the owner said bow only! If that’s the rule then that’s what I’m doing!

Personally for me…I would enjoy bow only. But other people are paying their hard earned money to use the land. Put it up for vote. If you get unanimous consent for bow only…then do it. Even one that disagrees…respect their wishes. Just my :2cents

On 1500 acres I’d jump on Bowhunting only in a heartbeat. :thumbup

I think bow only would be fine, but I also think I would want to be able to use a rifle for coyotes.

Most leases in Texas don’t allow guests.. and $1500 is dirt cheap for a Texas lease of that size unless it has to many folks on it..

The only place your going to find 1500 acres here is timber co land. And I personally would never join a lease that I couldnt carry someone especially my family.I paid 1600 one season for me and my girlfriend to hunt a lease but I only did it so that she could hunt and it wouldnt pass the buck off to other people. Id hunt with the orange army before I dished out 1500 for just me. #-o
