    I like my bow for hunting….anything.
    So, I use  my bow for turkey hunting with a NAP 100 grain Thunderhead.
    Does the trick….

    How about you?

    Most of the time I’m strictly a bow guy.  I’ll hunt with a rifle if I can, but I prefer the bow.  I’ve never taken a turkey with a shotgun… my setup is better for bow.

    like to shoot em with the shotgun, way more mobility and you dont have to be sitting in a blind. Its also nice to not have to track or wound your bird

    I also wanna say, I dont mean that wounding or tracking is going to happen if you shoot them with the bow. I know you guys drop em in their tracks with the bows, but Ive never had one move after the 12 hit them in the face {#emotions_dlg.mathews_laughing}

    I’d prefer to use a bow, but this year my surgeon told me to use the shotgun {#emotions_dlg.mathews_crying} (recovering from shoulder surgery).

    He’s right. I can hardly pull back my wife’s 25# stick bow without some pain. Doubt if I could reach 50# by middle of the month. He said 25# is my limit till I see him middle of the month any way. He did say I should be back to shooting by June. {#emotions_dlg.mathews_thumbs_up}

    Maybe next year. We’ll see if the scatter gun can find some feathers. {#emotions_dlg.mathews_thumbs_up}

    I have killed many turkeys with my shotgun, going to try to get one with my bow (if it comes in soon) just got a package of Magnus turkey broad heads. Can’t wait to try them out on a long beard {#emotions_dlg.mathews_nerd}
