Hi everyone, my son has taken a liking to a cheap home made bow and arrow set that my wife bought him at our campground at a variety sale night. I am very lucky he is interested in shooting this, it’s a start. If he says interested in it I want to get him a bow for Christams. I know a little bit about the Mathews Genesis but would hope to pass this bow on to his sister when she gets a little older. She is only 4 right now. Any suggestions on a bow package (guessing you will suggest the Genesis) without breaking the bank? Thanks, look forward to your replies.

Mission Craze or Diamond Razors Edge. Both have A LOT of adjustability and are made specifically with the little ones in mind.

:D I will second the Mission craze…pre-craze we sold a ton of Genesis’s…outstanding bow .even comes in a Mini..anyone can shot it immediately in a group with zero draw length..great for familys , clubs or schools…

The Genesis however isnt legal for hunting and will not shoot much above 20 lbs and for hunting even gophers it lacks speed and impact.

However the Craze is the ultimate with the hunter or shooter youth in mind…

I have everyone from a 7 yr old youngster like yours to a 6’4″ 250 lb man shooting the craze…

the poundage 15-72 lbs and draw 19-30″ draw at only 3.6 lbs is the most versatile bow for youngsters as the bow grows with them…as their draw increases so does the poundage a perfect combination…
