    LOVE my Polaris :X
I have a Sportsman 500 X2. It has more than enough power, and it has the best 4 wheel drive in the industry…

Get a Grizzly, you won’t be dissappointed. Just an all around great 4 wheeler that can handle anything. Get one with differential lock. Let me tell ya, it’s a world of difference.

Are you looking at mostly new or used?

Why are you thinking of switching? Just curious. [=}=]

For ATV’s. If I were purchasing today, it would either be a Yamaha Grizzly
550 or Honda Rancher 420. The 550 would be my first choice. :thumbup

Honda’s are very durable. Frriends in Southeast Ohio have several with 30000+ miles on them without any major problems. They do regular oil changes. I really like the Kawasaki line. I currently own a 1999 Honda Foreman and a 2009 Kawasaki Teryx. I use to own a 2009 Kawasaki Brute Force till I bought the Teryx. The Kawasaki’s have unbelievable torque and speed. Friends own Can-Am, they are built very well.

If I had to rank my choices, it would be as follows:

    1. Honda
    2. Can-Am
    3. Kawasaki

I hear alot that Polaris is junk this and that. After the beatin’ I saw them take in Iraq I’m sold on them. Definately NOT junk. And as an added plus the fasteners are standard, not metric.I had to rebuild one from bare frame after one got wrapped around a phone pole out there. #-o

    I own a 99 Kawi 400 prairie.I think it’s a good machine.But I’d say Honda comes in as my pick. :thumbup

I’m a honda guy………I’ve had mine for 6 years now, and still don’t wanna trade it in.

    :^O

Well, okay, would like to trade up, but can’t afford it :^O

Forgot to add, that I like the fact that when I push the throttle, just a little, my machine will move.

The polaris I rode, I did that with and all it did was rev the engine a little……then I gave it a little more, then it revved a little higher, then when the belt finally engaged, it jumped forward and just about ran the person in front of me over……(we were trying to get closer to a downed moose). Happened with a couple different Polaris machines.

The only think I didn’t like about the Yamaha was the “park” on the shifter didn’t work. I parked the machine on a tilt trailer and it wouldn’t stay in place. Even when I put the e-brake on, it would still roll.

Granted these things are just with a few wheelers, and I’m not the “know-all” but I know that I like what I ride better than what my friends ride [=}=]

I also have a Honda rancher 420 4×4. It does everything I want it to do and then some. I have the ITP XRT mudlites on mine and they are 27/10 on the front and 27/11 on the back. I can spin the heck out of those tires as well.
