    hi guys new to these boards I’ve been reading this forum for a while joined so I can get some advice My son shoots a Helium and wants to upgade arrows he currently shoots gold tip 65/80 hunter he has a 28 inch draw and shoots 70 what would be a good choice without breaking the bank? ps shoots 2 blade 100 grain rage

    first off,not aware of any current gold tip arrows rated @ 65/80. there are 55/75 and 75/95 xt hunters. for the helium @ 28″/70#,you need to be in the .350 spine rating range. as far as which arrow to shoot and price,you pretty much get what you pay for. gold tip,carbon express,easton have all been in the game for a long time and make good products. the low end of the scale will have larger ranges of variables,the higher up you go, the tighter the tolerances become.

    went and checked his quiver they are Cabelas carbon hunter 65/80 he has went thru the first half dozen lol he said he wanted to stay at about 10 to 12$ apiece

    he should go to a pro shop and buy a good quality arrow such as carbon express maxima hunter 350’s. you can buy most any top end arrow for the $10-12 range.

    Carbon Express, Gold Tip, Easton and Victory are all good arrows and around the price range. Depends on what you are looking for but no matter which one ensure the spine is setup correctly for the specs. Below is an application that will help with that so it is specific to his setup.
