    Anyone have any guesses on this deers age? I am thinking 2 1/2. I am also thinking next year or year after a real trophy!

    In NE where I live he might even be a big 1.5yo. I’m not sure about Indiana though, 1.5 or 2.5yo probably.

    No older than 2.5. I’d say for Indiana he is 1.5. I would be keeping tabs on that bad boy. He’s got the makings to be a super giant!

    That’s quite a bit of rack for a 1.5 yo.  I’m guessing 2.5.

    If he will stay put, he will be safe for a year or two. We have hunting rights to 500 acres where he is, just hope he doesn’t wander too far away from home or someone else may take him this year. I also think he has what it takes to be a monster some day.

    With the velvet it is hard to say for sure. Could be 1.5, but the hump at the sholder says 2.5. Will look a lot different when he rubs clean next month. I like larg back straps, so I may let him pass early, but he would tast a lot better than my tag does.{#emotions_dlg.mathews_antlers}

    The farmers that own the land we hunt will not let anyone else hunt on their property, so I am going to give them a heads up about him. They will take care of me! I got hooked up with them 3 years ago and all together I have 1500 acres that they own with sole hunting rights to me and my two sons. It is not a lease, they just like me for some reason {#emotions_dlg.mathews_big_smile}( I was looking for a butt kissing smiley, but couldn’t find one).

    I’d say two years old. Give him two more years, he looks like he has the genetics to become a monster.
