I am from Minnesota but I hunt in WI. I am going up to the area around Moosehorn and Hodgson. Pretty excited for it!!

I did spray the first plot and that was a lesson learned the hard way. Bottom line I didn’t deem it nessecary I know better know.

I did my first plot this year and didn’t spray it. The plot came in nice but so did the weeds I don’t know if its too late… do you?

i did my first plot this year as well, didnt spay it. weeds did come up with plot but i figured the deer would just eat around them, and they have been. are they weeds over powering the plot?

I don’t think I would say overpowering but certainly coexisting I had talked with Whitetail Institute and they said as long as I had killed everything off, disced the ground, then got the plot going it would be fine. It’s ok but not as good as it could be ya know? I should take some pics and you guys can see. some of the weeds are several feet tall so those i would like gone!

im not sure how big your plot it, but mine is a 1/2 acer plot with soy and radish. i had weeds that were alot taller that stuck out. i just walked and routed them from the ground, little ones dont bother me much or the deer IMO.

Sorry I was thinking you were a Wisconsiner.
That area you are headed for in MB, we call it The Interlake. Known for big bodied and heavy antlered deer because of the soil composition I am told. Good luck.
