The Lancaster Classic was held January 17 – 19 in Lancaster Pennsylvania.  This indoor tournament has rapidly grown into a very successful and highly attend tournament.  After the qualification round and the eliminations rounds were finished, Sarah Lance and Tom Crowe won their first titles of the 2014 season.

Sarah Lance has had a very successful start to her 2014 season.  At the Iowa Pro/Am, Lance had a second place finish just two weeks ago.  That made her one of the favorites heading into the Lancaster Classic.  Lance did not disappoint.  After qualifying in second place, Lance marched thru the elimination rounds and she had a convincing five point win in the gold medal match.  This was her first win on the young season.  Second place went to Kelly Ward.  In fact, the top four finishers in the class all shot Mathews!  Third place went to Christie Colin and fourth place went to Connie Calloway.

In the Senior class, Tom Crowe captured his first title of the season.  Tom Coblentz finished in fifth place and Randall Jones finished in sixth.

In the Men’ Unlimited class, the top Mathews finisher was Jeff Hopkins.  Hopkins had a score of 1,035-75 to make the shoot up.  In the shoot up, Hopkins had a final score of 128-8 and finished in eighth place.

In the Masters class, Duane Price was the top Mathews finisher.  Price was the top qualifier and he marched into the gold medal match and came up just two points short.  Price finished in second place.
