Joseph Goza Wins Third Leg of IBO Triple CrownJuly 14, 2013 - mziebell
The Third Leg of the IBO National Triple Crown was held July 12 – 14 in Marengo, Ohio. This was the final chance for the archers to make a move in the National Championship race. When the final score were announced, Joseph Goza walked away with the Pro Male Release title.
For years, Joseph Goza was one of the toughest competitors in the Limited Pro class. Goza made the move to the Pro Male Release class and has had numerous top ten finishes. Well, this week, Goza captured his first win in the class! Goza had a final score of 413 – 17 to capture the title. The rest of the results for the class have not been posted to date.
In the Pro Female class, the top Mathews finisher was Kaitlyn Price. Price had a final score of 377-12 and finished in second place. Mathews finished with eight of the top ten finishers in the class. The rest of the top ten included: Alicia McHenry, 376-7, 4th place; Kailey Johnston, 374-5, 5th place; Jeanna Allbritain, 368-10, 6th place; Tina Huntzinger, 368-8, 7th place; Sharon Carpenter, 367-5, 8th place; Kelly Ward, 354-8, 9th place and Amy Wenmoth, 350-8 in 10th place.
In the Pro Senior class, the top Mathews finisher was Lynn Morrison. Morrison had a score of 394-13 and finished in second place. Third place went to Bill Sennick with the same score of 394-13. Mathews finished with eight of the top ten finishers in the class. The rest of the top ten included: Tipton Cook, 393-11, 4th place; Tom Crowe, 391-9, 5th place; Colin Boothe, 389-13, 6th place; Scott Price, 385-12, 8th place; Dan Renner, 381-7, 9th place and Les Bressler, 380-7 in 10th place.
