Mathews’ success is predicated on our commitment to three steadfast core values: integrity, innovation and impact.


I remember once hearing that integrity can be determined by what people do when they don’t know someone’s watching. Here at Mathews, there are many extra steps in the process of making your bow that may be considered unnecessary by other manufactures. However, we will continue to do these processes because our testing ultimately shows superior results. It costs us more, but that’s integrity.


At Mathews, we will always strive to achieve the extraordinary through the continuous improvement of people, process and product. This year is a great example of that. Mathews again turned the archery market on its head with the fastest, most efficient single- and dual-cam bows at 80 percent let-off on the market. The Mathews Reezen and McPherson Series Monster offer archers several options that are sure to fit their every need.
And for 2010, we launched a few bows earlier in the year, allowing for the models to receive proper attention. First, the Mathews Passion — a bow designed specifically for the female hunter. Gone are the days when lady archers have to adapt to other bows not made with their needs in mind. Female archers deserve something that not only fits them perfectly, but is stylish. After all, we want as many women out there to ‘share the passion’ for the outdoors as possible.

And of course, we continue to upgrade our industry-leading line of target bows — with one sure to fit your competitive edge. With the Mathews ProStaff continuing to win more ASA, IBO and NFAA World Titles than all other bow companies combined, we continue to make equipment that makes the probabilities of winning even greater. This new target bow will be debuted in fall of 2009, and www.mathewsinc.com will have all the details.


Perhaps the most important of these values to me is impact. What matters most to me is not how many bows Mathews sells each year, but rather how many people we impact in a way that effects there life for good, and in many cases, changes the literal course of there lives.

People often ask me how Mathews grew to where it is now. My response is that Mathews set out to be extraordinary from the beginning. I knew that you can never achieve extraordinary by being ordinary. From manufacturing the highest quality archery products, to the extraordinary people we have working in our customer service department; to our intensive research and development and our exceptional quality control — nothing we do at Mathews is ordinary.

Most importantly, the success of Mathews has allowed me and my wife, Sherry, to fuel our greatest passion — ministry and spreading the Good News to as many people as possible; as well as bringing clean water, food and shelter to people here and around the world who are in need. And whether we believe in the same things or not, we can agree there is a lot of need out there. It is very exciting for us to be able to play a part in impacting those lives.

More than 4.6 million kids have now picked up and shot a bow through the National Archery in the Schools Program since 2002. There is something amazing that happens when a child see’s the flight of an arrow released from his own fingers for the first time. NASP continues to grow exponentially and we will continue to do whatever we can to see it reach its full potential. NASP has — and is — changing

So first, I thank God for blessing me and allowing me this amazing opportunity. But I also thank you for owning a Mathews and sharing your love for the sport with others. We all have our own way of making an impact in this world, but because of your help and support, Mathews will continue to impact as many lives as we can.
