Owens, Allbritain and Crowe Win ASA Tennessee Titles

The third shoot for the ASA was held in Oak Ridge Tennessee on April 4 – 6. As the young season continues to move forward, the competition is heating up. When the smoke cleared, Charlie Owens, Jeanna Allbritain and Tom Crowe all walked off the course with championships.

For the first time this season, the Limited Pro class saw Charlie Owens take top honors. This is the first win of the season for Owens. Owens turned in a score of 384 points, which was four points better then second place Gene Curry. Third place went to Mathews shooter Larry Goza, with a score of 379 points. There were a total of eight Mathews shooters in the top ten. The rest of the top ten included: Brian Goza, 376 points, 5th place; Rodney Huffman, 372 points, 6th place; Cody Odell, 369 points, 7th place; Joseph Goza, 368 points, 8th place and Jerry Watters, 354 points in 10th place.

In the Women’s Pro division, Mathews shooters captured the top fourteen places. Leading the way was Jeanna Allbritain (Wallace) with a score of 402. Second place went to Alicia McHenry with a score of 391 and third went to Linda Owen with a score of 394. The rest of the top ten included: Ginger Morehead, 388 points, 4th place; Kelly Ward, 385 points, 5th place; Paige English, 383 points, 6th place; Lucy Holderness, 378 points, 7th place; Jennie Richardson, 378 points, 8th place; Kathy Caudle, 377 points, 9th place and Sherry Foreman, 373 points in 10th place.

For the third straight tournament, Tom Crowe won the Senior Pro division. Crowe turned in a score of 432 points, which was 26 points better then second place Randall Jones. There were eight Mathews shooters in the top ten. The rest of the top ten included: Jackie Caudle, 406 points, 3rd place; Roger Thibault, 405 points, 4th place; Larry Odell, 402 points, 5th place; Dan Renner, 400 points, 6th place; George Dixon, 397 points, 8th place and Eddie Benezue, 396 points in 10th place.

In the Men’s Open Pro division, Mathews had four shooters in the top ten. The top Mathews finisher was Terry Reynolds, who finished in second place with a score of 424 points. Shannon Caudle finished 4th with a score of 419 points. Charles Custer was 5th with 481 points and Richard Leftwich was 10th with 412 points.
