Hall Wins 2nd Leg of IBO National Triple CrownJune 20, 2011 - mziebell
The second leg of the IBO National Triple Crown was held June 10 – 12 in Erie, Pennsylvania. The wind and the course made it very difficult on the competitors. When the winners were announced, Burley Hall won his first title of the season.
Burley Hall has many national titles to his name. So far this season, Hall had not visited the winners podium, but you knew it was just a matter of time. Well, that wait is now over. Hall turned in a score of 412-16 to capture the crown in the Pro Senior class. Second place went to Derek Phillips with a score of 404-17. Todd Shultz was third with a score of 402-13. Mathews finished with eight of the top ten places in the class. The rest of the top ten included: Scott Price, 401-16, 4th place; George Pharis, 401-14, 5th place; James Wilson, 396-13, 8th place; Bill Sennick, 394-16, 9th place and Larry Odell, 394-12 in 10th place.
In the Pro Male Release class, the top Mathews finisher was Joseph Goza. Goza finished in second place with a score of 414-22. Jeff Hopkins finished in third place with a score of 413-22. Mathews finished with five of the top ten finishers in the class. The rest of the top ten included: Brandon Reyes, 412-22, 4th place; Michael Anderson, 410-22, 7th place and Levi Morgan 409-21 in 8th place.
In the Pro Female class, Alicia McHenry was the top Mathews finisher in the class. McHenry had a score of 405-17 and finished in second place. Samantha Morgan was third with a score of 387-16. Mathews had eight of the top ten finishers in the class. The rest of the top ten included: Andrea Nicholson, 386-8, 4th place; Jeanna Allbritain, 382-14, 6th place; Connie Calloway, 378-11, 7th place; Kaitlyn Price, 376-11, 8th place; Aime Whittington, 376-8, 9th place and Amy Wenmoth, 375-11 in 10th place.
